another krash after I moved my .kde4 folder to start with an empty one

after a meta+tab as suggested on http://chani.wordpress.com/2010/06/11/a-note-on-activityplasma-bugs/ i do not get this segfault on logout anymore.

I will try this again with the next set of kubuntu 4.5 packages and and empty .kde4 folder.

The impression I have is that this bug triggers when you click on a tray icon and it disappears right after its menu is shown.

In my case the tray icon is kpackagekit's. It follows plasma's new tray icon protocol so I guess the menu is displayed by the system tray itself? Perhaps it can't handle having an "orphaned" menu, I don't know

I forgot to mention that it still happens on KDE 4.5.3. Sorry for having to send an additional comment just for that.

Doing some updates with Kpackage on my Kubuntu 10.10 with kde 4.5.3.
After update i closed the kpackage kit but there still a tray icon on my plasma bar!
Click on that tray icon and my plasma crash!After a few second my plasma restart ,and everything seems ok!

This thing happen all the time!

- After I have klicked the information icon in the controlbar (single left
klick)
plasma hung up and crashed

The Icon didn't react after I have klicked it, the desktop hung up (cursor was
still movable) and turned black

This bug report was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this bug is already resolved in Plasma 5.
