There are reports with similar backtraces marked as upstream Qt bugs (which should be fixed on Qt4.5.2). This could be a different bug. Do you think you could be able to reproduce the crash at will again ?

I tried to reproduce the bug, but in vain...

Well, I also noticed version mismatch on some of my qt4 packages:
 qt4-x11-tools-4.5.1+4.5.2
 libqt4* 64bit at version 4.5.2, 32bit at version 4.5.0

My distro(openSuse 11.0) is now providing kde 4.2.96; I will update later and see what happens.

I was told this is the bug for isWidget crashes. here's another backtrace, and the debug output just before the crash. my qt has been modified so every QGraphicsScene::event outputs the event type.
I got this after quickly deleting four containments in a row while zoomed in (with my remove-active-containment patch).

Dario,  I fly around my desktop all the time so I am not exactly sure what caused it. In fact I did not notice anything different. i.e. until I went to shut down. The desktop started to go down, got to the point where I could not enter anything and just stopped. Reboot fixed it. Note also, I run 8 desktops and have a lot of different things open at any one time.
