Description Steffen Boehme 2009-11-20 16:32:28 UTC
Application that crashed: plasma-desktop
Version of the application: 0.3
KDE Version: 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) "release 6"
Qt Version: 4.5.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31.5-0.1-desktop i686
Distribution: "openSUSE 11.1 (i586)"

What I was doing when the application crashed:
Started VirtualBox with a windows guest inside which uses the sound system right and played some sound.
After this I started Amarok but got no sound while Amarok told me, that the sound system can't be used.
Closed Amarok again, worked a while with VirtualBox ...
In the meantime Skype crashed ... probably while trying to give some sound output.
Finally I closed VirtualBox with the hope Amarok will play some sound again ...
Starting Amarokl after VirtualBox finished sucessfull and the Plasma Desktop crashes while startup of Amarok.
(don't thik the reason was the musik, since Foo Fighters are not so bad :D )

The bug seems probably related to bug 200847.
- Have you tried to repeat the same situation and environment to check if Plasma crash again ?
- Do you have a System Monitor widger in your desktop or panels ?
Thanks
