It crash in Qt library BMP image loader...

Gilles Caulier
Comment 2 Christoph Feck 2012-11-28 12:30:26 UTC
If this is reproducible, please add the faulty BMP image, or provide a valgrind log. For more information, see http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports#Retrieving_a_backtrace_with_Valgrind

Might be a duplicate of bug 276249.
Comment 3 Axel Krebs 2012-11-28 17:50:21 UTC
"...BMP loader?..."

!!
That fits, I handeld yesterday one 2,1 MB jpg pic, worked in GIMP 2.8
and stored as
- one png, 12,3 MB
- three bmp-pics, 15,2 .. 15.8 MB each.

Pics are confidential- business matter.

Maybe I'll be able to reproduce some fort testing purposes.

Please inform

Thank you

Hi,

please read my answer before. Thank you for valgrind-link. Not sure, if
time and knowledge is enough... I'll try to at weekend.

Since Axel was not able to share his BMP files, maybe the reporters of the duplicates could provide the information requested in comment #2.

Oh, I just saw that Alex itself reported the duplicates, so the hope to get this bug resolved diminished again...
