- What I was doing when the application crashed:

Launching k3bsetup as root always crashes at startup. I tried to launch k3bsetup since I thought taht running the setup would allow k3b to recognice and find the installed libmad library. After installing 12.2 I haven't been able to get k3b to recognize (or find) the installed libmad library

The crash can be reproduced every time.
