Reading what the output says that it seems that you do not have dbus running in your machine. Is that true?
I think dbus may have been shut down or crashed. I tried restarting everything (Emacs daemon and conkeror) and now I'm not encountering this bug any longer. thanks, --B. Closing then, dbus is a prerequisite for kde apps to work.
Ok, the problem seems to be resolved. Just to be clear, though, Okular itself was working, but when I tried to do forward search from Emacs to Okular I was getting this bug. (Again, restarting everything seems to have made it go away).
