Version:           4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.2) (using 4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.2), Debian packages)

Reproduce:

* go to any site that spans more than what you can display in the window. kde.org works just fine.
* press CTRL to enable access keys
* scroll using the scrollbar to the right

You will see ugly artifacts.

This bug probably belongs to khtml part, because the same happens in kmail when viewing a message that contains links.

This bug still appears in KDE 4.2.2

This still happens with in Konqueror from Kubuntu packages 4.2.2. I noted that while browsing the man:ls and scrolling with the mouse wheel.

keyboard shortcut/accessibility keys are shown

press pageup/down, keys go away but the page does not scroll. one needs to press it again for the page to scroll

click in the scroll bar; shortcuts are still shown (where they were, no longer in the correct positions) but not redrawn - appearing just once each

Dear user,

KHTML (and KJS) was a long time more or less unmaintained and got removed in KF6.

Please migrate to use a QWebEngine based HTML component.

We will do no further fixes or improvements to the KF5 branches of these components beside important security fixes.

Sorry that we did not fix this issue during the life-time of KHTML.
