Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.1) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Same thing as bug #16270, with the possiblity to change the headers when writing a mail. The configuration pane of Kmail, in the Editor -> Headers settings, should ask if the header is fix or should be settable as a normal header (like To:) Rgds. Aur
It would also be nice if these custom headers appeared in the Editor menu alongside the basic headers such as To, From, etc. This way, they could be shown and hidden according to what kind of email you are composing. It would be even better if, when custom headers are shown in the Editor, there was a checkbox next to the textbox of every custom header to choose to include it or not in the message (some headers being interpreted by presence/absence, and not by content). Example : You use Debian GNU/Linux and want to report bugs using the debian bug-tracking system and KMail. You could do the following : Configure KMail to define the X-Debbugs-CC and X-Debbugs-No-Ack custom headers as editable headers. Whenever you are reporting bugs, select these two headers in the Display menu of the Editor. Fill the X-Debbugs-CC textbox with the addresses you want to CC the bug report to, and use the checkbox next to the X-Debbugs-No-Ack textbox to enable/disable bug report confirmation emails.
I am going to merge this bug report with bug 59478, which essentially is the same. Please transfer your votes, bugzilla does not do that automatically. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 59478 ***
