strange characters instead of ¨

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. System settings -> Shortcuts -> Kwin -> "Window to Desktop 6" "Meta+¨"
2.  Update sytem, including kde

OBSERVED RESULT
Firstly, when the shortcut is applied it is showed strange characters instead of "¨" (See attachment), but it works.
Then, after the system update, it don't work anymore, then I have to reconfigure.

EXPECTED RESULT
That settings do not change in updates

Linux/KDE Plasma: 
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.8
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.110.0
Qt Version: 5.15.10

the bug 464804 only  talks about the Glitchy text, the main problems is: after an update the shortcut setting don't work anymore.

That's what happens when you report multiple issues in a single bug report; I can get confused. :) Since you also reported Bug 474750, I'm willing to bet that both issues have the same root cause.
