This is actually a Qt bug which is fixed in a later release of the KDE Qt patch collection, as well as Qt 6.

Same issue in Keyboard Shortcuts KCM.
It's working fine for me in both places on both Fedora 42 KDE (Plasma 6.4.4, Wayland) and KDE Linux (git master, Wayland). Is this a locale or theme-specific thing, maybe? Can you try a new clean user account in English and see if it still happens there?
