Initial report: BUG 453943 SUMMARY After the recent QML rewrite of the desktopgrid effect, the indication when hovering a desktop is gone and now all desktops are always fully illuminated. Since my bug got marked as a dupe, just to add: it does not only lack the mouse hover indication, it also lacks a keyboard selection indication (which does work, you just don't see which one is selected, but you can switch via keyboard)
> Previously, unhovered desktops were dimmed, which made following the mouse cursor and seeing which desktop will be activated on click much easier. It made seeing the hovered desktop much easier, but it made it very hard to see what's on the others, when you first need to decide which desktop to activate. Some alternative solution should definitely also be considered. Please see #409295, #303438.
