Description postix 2022-04-11 18:43:31 UTC
SUMMARY

Dual monitor set up: FullHD@100% (HDMI) and 4k@200% (DP).
Sometimes maximized windows move(?) to the HDMI screen on unlocking (or coming from suspend?), leaving a gap on the right side as seen in the screenshot.

Oops, wrong bug, sorry.
Comment 5 Nate Graham 2022-04-12 16:13:40 UTC
Not related to the X11-only window position memory feature since this is on Wayland.
Comment 6 Marco Martin 2022-04-19 14:25:36 UTC
seems the gap is exactly as wide as the panel, perhaps struts on the wrong screen...
do windows maximize correctly in the screen with the panel?

> do windows maximize correctly in the screen with the panel?

Yep, they do!
Comment 8 postix 2022-06-17 11:04:42 UTC
If the panel is on the bottom on the primary screen, after unlocking a session the windows on the non-primary screen are maximized as if there were a panel at the bottom.
Need to check if these windows were also moved automatically from the primary to the non-primary on unlocking the session.
Comment 9 postix 2023-04-10 16:46:07 UTC
Happens only if the primary is on the right in the mixed scaling setup. Therefore I reference it to my other bugs which are due to this setup.

Thank you for the bug report, I'm sorry we weren't able to get to it yet. I'm not able to reproduce this with git-master at the moment.

If this issue is still reproducible in either Plasma 5.27 or Plasma 6.2.5 (the latest released version), please set this bug report to CONFIRMED.

Thanks!
