STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Activate the overview effect 
2. Press Meta to bring up Kickoff

OBSERVED RESULT
plasma window appears in the overview effect

EXPECTED RESULT
plasma window shouldn't appear in the overview effect

Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora KDE

I have KRunner mapped to Meta key and in my case KRunner window appears in overview effect.

Just for the sake of consistency, and good practice, I hope the solution will implement the behavior of "Synchronize Skip Switcher with Taskbar" - kwin script.
 Don't want to see my Conky windows (x11 or wayland) in Overview effect.

Cannot reproduce on Wayland with current git master. Is anyone else able to reproduce this on on Wayland with current git master? Or only X11?

Kickoff appears for me in all virtual desktops in the top preview bar on Wayland (master), when I git `meta`

Manjaro, 5.27.1, i915, X session: it's still here.

Also fixed for me in Plasma 5.27. Vlad, your issue is probably something else. For example the fact that the popup still appears in the preview on top is something I can reproduce, but that's not the same issue.

Yeah Nate you are right, I should have  said that the menu appears not in main view but  in the upper virtual desktops preview section. I guess it's not designed this way that's why I wrote that the bug is still present.
