Screen grab of the bug

Everything is blown up to the point that I can't see the graphical interface. When I click within the window, it the mouse events happen on the elements as if they are drawn in the correct position but the view is wrong. See attached image.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. I wish I knew how this happened...

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 10

Looks like this is already reported here: https://invent.kde.org/kde/kdenlive/issues/277
Comment 2 emohr 2020-04-27 15:01:20 UTC
Yes, this is the issue.
Could you try the following: open kdenliverc with an editor (https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manual/Windows_Issues#Cannot_open_projects_made_with_previous_version.2C_timeline_snaps_back.2C_cannot_import_clip)

and delete
[misc]
opengl_backend=15 (or similar)

Restart Kdenlive. Goto "settings" -> "openGL backend" -> enable "directX". This should solve the issue.

Yes, deleting the [misc] section from kdenliverc made my problem go away. Thank you for your reply.
Comment 4 emohr 2020-04-28 16:41:34 UTC
Do you have deleted the misc section only and it works?

I don't have the text that I removed but yes, after I deleted that [misc] section and restarted kdenlive, it started working immediately.

Here's the thing: "kdenliverc" does not exist on hard drives - any of them. How can I edit a file that doesn't exist?!?!?

Has the file name changed between the time this "solution" was written and now?
Comment 9 emohr 2021-02-25 16:25:59 UTC
Please follow solution 1 or 2 here: https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manual/Windows_Issues#Intel_graphic_card_driver

Thanks!

Solution 1: Did Not Work

Solution 2: Cannot work! I do not have that file to modify. It doesn't exist on my Hard Drive - and I looked high and low.

Solution 3: I had to go to the Intel website and download its driver and replace my lenovo display driver. That worked, so far, but I do not know what it'll do to the rest of my lenovo software.

Thanks!
