SUMMARY

I upgraded to the most recent version 20.12.1 yesterday, all was working fine.

After a few hours I got a WIN 10 update. After the system reboot, the KDENLIVE program interface graphics were all oversized and not at all in alignment with the (now unseen) dropdown menus. The dropdowns do still work, although I have to guess where to click to access them

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Was using 20.4.1
2. uninstalled it and installed latest version 20.12.1
3. used it fine for a few hours.
4. Had WIN 10 update and reboot
5. Problem occurred immediately upon boot up.
6. I do observe a ever so slight flickered momentary (very quick)what might be the right size screen, but it quickly goes to oversize immediately afterward.

POINTS: I de-installed the new version, cleared out the APP files and reinstalled the old version with the same exact problem. I did this back and forth for both the newer and the older versions with the same graphic results.

OBSERVED RESULT - see attached file picture

EXPECTED RESULT - a usable interface

UPDATE - FILED UNDER: FYI

I deleted my display drivers and as a result, I now have a windows 10 generic display driver (2006 vintage!) driving my display. I can now successfully run all my versions of kvenlive.

The downside is I can no longer use two displays since the generic driver doesn't support this.

Also, whenever I put back in place the "Intel(r) UHD Graphics 620" driver provided to me by MS WIN 10, I get the display problem previous described.

SO, when I want to use KDENLIVE, I uninstall the device, it installs the generic driver. When I want to use two displays for my PP laptop presentations, I reinstall the "Intel(r) UHD Graphics 620" driver.

Not a great fix, but until kdenlive works with my "Intel(r) UHD Graphics 620" driver, it'll have to do.

Is anyone else having this problem?

After re-installing the Intel graphic driver please try this steps: https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manual/Windows_Issues#Intel_graphic_card_driver
