SUMMARY Salut, The "Artist" tab is useless for me, because the metadata in my music collection are to good. Each album contains tons of different artists, because the artist field include featuring, instead each tracks in a album use the same "Album artist" field and fallback to the "Artist" field in case "Album artist" doesn't exist. My proposal is to create a Album Artists tab or change how the Artist tab behave. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Elisa 2. Open Artist tab OBSERVED RESULT See Artist A feat Artist 1, Artist A feat. Artist 2, Artist B feat. Artist 2, etc. EXPECTED RESULT See Artist A, Artist B SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.58 Qt Version: 5.12.? ADDITIONAL INFORMATION none
This is also a problem for me. For example, the album artist "Postmodern Jukebox" occurs with in conjunction with "featuring Artist" in 92 different combinations in my music collection. Because I'm unable to multi-select in the Artists window to add items to the playlist, it would require 184 clicks to queue all of my tracks by this album artist into my playlist. Ideally a separate "Album Artist" view on the leftmost panel would navigate by "Album Artist->Album->Track" so that albums could be easily found and queued for playback by album artist name.
