Created attachment 164499 [details] artist tag with multiple artists In many music libraries, some songs have multiple artists in the artist tag, hence one artist can be found in many entries in the "Artist" section. The album artist tag solves that issue. It would be very helpful to have an "Album Artist" section in Elisa. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add multiple artists in the artist tag of different songs in an album; 2. Set the album artist tag to the same artist for all the songs in the album; 3. Sort the artist section in alphabetical order; 4. Browse to the album artist in question. OBSERVED RESULT The same artist shows up in many entries (see attached). EXPECTED RESULT In the "Artist" tab, the observed result is correct. In a new "Album Artist" tab, the observed result would be that the artist of the album would only show once.

Comment on attachment 166147 [details] gorillaz example I second this. It also makes things way less messy for people who like to browse albums on a per-artist basis. I.E. when I'm in a day to listen to Gorillaz, I want to go click on Gorillaz and have all the albums from there. But because it's an artist that works with others and they are credited in the Artist field, I get this mess of an artist list instead of just "Gorillaz" See attachment.
