SUMMARY Konqueror is running in the background after quit. There is no chance to start konqueror again, because the process is still running in the background. A workaround is to "kill" the process by the application "System Activity". STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Konqueror 2. Click in the Titlebar on "close" (x) or press Ctrl+Q 3. Open Konqueror again EXPECTED RESULT The process for Konqueror should be terminated. ACTUAL RESULT The process for Konqueror is still running in the background. In some brief testing, I found by going to settings->configure konqueror -> performance -> *uncheck* always try to have one preloaded instance seems to avoid this problem for me.

The problem that konqueror apparently cannot be started again was fixed recently, see bug#388333. And I would say it is intentional that it keeps running if the option mentioned in comment#3 is not turned off...
