(Note: I couldn't find a better category for this report) I have a system tray widget in a panel by default. I found it impossible to configure to my taste and also next to unusable. Configuration "System Tray Settings": - there seems to be a concept of "things in the panel" and "things in the dropdown menu", however, in the settings this is not clear. Entries is for the panel and "Extra Items" for the dropdown? What are the categories? Maybe you could have a list of all possible entries and there select if, where and when to show it. - about 50% of the times, "Entries" in the settings is completely empty. - If I enable something in the Extras and apply, It will not show in the Entries until I restart the dialog. - I have 2 different audio icons and I can not understand the difference (except that one doesn't function). - Wacom tablet settings is not autoloaded, it's always there. - Instant Messaging doesn't function if it is in the extras. - KOrganizer daemon stays around no matter if it is disabled and disabled from start. - I can not disable bluetooth on start. Usability: - when clicking on most of the icons (one of the sound icons, wireless, battery), instead of being taken to the related options (eg. available networks for the wireless icon) I get the same popup as if I would have clicked on the dropdown. - After having the popup "Status & Notifications" it is extremely hard to click it away. For instance, clicking on the panel will not dismiss it. Clicking on the dropdown arrow again also does not fold it back.

Please report one issue per ticket. The issues you describe are even in multiple unrelated software components, so this ticket cannot be assigned to a specific category.
Hi Christoph. I have no idea to which software components each thing relates to, to me it all looks like "System Tray Widget". I couldn't even find a generic "Plasma Widgets" project in here: https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi since it has over a hundred categories. Please let me know it there is a better category or way to report this. I am not disposed to split this in 10 different bugs to just have them closed as invalid. I am willing to help and interested in seeing this fixed for me and everyone, but I'd rather not loose my time.
> not loose my time If you do not want to contribute with your time, you can also contribute in other ways, see https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved
Hi Christoph, thank you for the link, I'll check it out. You misunderstood me, however :) I am fine in splitting this in individual bugs if that truly helps your tracking, but I am not willing to do so *if* they all end up being closed as not being the correct category. *That* would be loosing my time :) I have the feeling that the System Tray needs a review and an usability pass in general and that individual bugs would not help that much, but that's up to you. I still don't know in which software component to file each issue.
Issues for system tray are tracked at 'plasmashell/System Tray', but it is not important that you find the correct component; we can re-assign per ticket. Note that Slackware is a very young distribution to try Plasma 5 integration, so some issues might indeed be closed, because they are not reproducible on more experienced KDE distributions.
I found 'plasmashell/System Tray', thanks! Surprisingly, after re-testing the issues on my computer today, most of them didn't happen! Which got me confused until I understood that most only happens after using the settings once. Therefore I don't think these are Slackware specific problems, but probably just visible on the first time use.
