Description Dimitrios Glentadakis 2012-05-27 13:51:03 UTC
When we search for a similar bug in the enter new bug form, the suggestions are in a very small frame and they are not visible.
With my previous version 4.6.5 i did nt have any problem

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Active&format=guided
2. Search for existing bugs
3. The resaults are shown in a very small frame (see screenshot)
Actual Results:
Resaults in a very small frame

Expected Results:
Show the resaults in all the frame

With webkit engine it works fine

Comment 4 Raúl 2012-05-31 14:46:02 UTC
Hello:
I'm also experiencing this with kdelibs 4.8.3 and konqueror 4.7.4. In short, bump with khtml, kwebkitpart works.
Regards,

I confirm this as well, using 4.8.5.

When I go to https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Active&format=guided I don't get a list of bugs as in the screenshot, but the message "No duplicate bugs found". Both bug 313565 and bug 317049 were resolved in March, so I don't think they should be appearing in a list of possibly duplicate bugs.

I can reproduce it here:
https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?format=guided&product=konqueror&additional_info=OS%3A%20Linux%20%28x86_64%29%20release%203.8.13.3-desktop-3.mga3%0ACompiler%3A%20cc&version=4.10.4
and search in the search filed under the suggestions not above.
Comment 18 g111 2013-07-01 14:33:16 UTC
KDE: 4.10.3

The Link https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?format=guided&product=konqueror&additional_info=OS%3A%20Linux%20%28x86_64%29%20release%203.8.13.3-desktop-3.mga3%0ACompiler%3A%20cc&version=4.10.4 looks fine here. I cannot reproduce it this way.

But going the other way https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Active&format=guided and for example search for "crash" in the field below the sentence "If your bug isn't there, search KDE Bugtracking System by entering a few key words having to do with your bug in this box. For example: pop3 mail or copy paste. The results will appear above." the iframe is still too small.

If you cannot reproduce it, it might be because you do not use konqueror or have switched the view-mode to webkit instead of khtml?

Finally found this is a regression introduced by commit http://websvn.kde.org/?view=revision&revision=1140104
First KDE version affected is 4.5.0

Dear user,

KHTML (and KJS) was a long time more or less unmaintained and got removed in KF6.

Please migrate to use a QWebEngine based HTML component.

We will do no further fixes or improvements to the KF5 branches of these components beside important security fixes.

For security issues, please see:

https://kde.org/info/security/

Sorry that we did not fix this issue during the life-time of KHTML.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
