This one is very easy to reproduce. Here is an example for wallpapers. Step 1: Right mouse button on the desktop and click "Desktop Settings" Step 2: In "Desktop Settings" click "Get new wallpapers ..." Step 3: Let it load the wallpapers till it's done. Step 4: Disconnect your network! Step 5: In the search field type in something, but don't finish! For example, i want to search for space so i type in "spa" then wait. Step 6: You'll see that you get a network error message. Fine so far. Step 7: Continue typing space so now you have "spac" and wait a second. BAM, Crash! Feel free to connect your network again. Using these steps i can let it crash over and over again so that should help someone to find a solution. I am not quite sure if this bug is in knewstuff3 or in attica.. Both occur in the backtrace.
https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/105367/ working on fixing this now.
