Description Jaroslav Tulach 2010-05-19 12:53:06 UTC
Version:           1.0 (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

I followed the google's tutorial to set up kopete and at the end I am unable to connect. There is no warning on console, only, when watching for X session errors I see some message when trying to connect.

$ tail -f .xsessionerrors
Unknown signature value:  795

This is the tutorial I followed:

This bug is similar to bug 156470, tell me if I shall reopen that one.

This bug may also be similar to bug 154940. But that one claims to be fixed too. For completeness I am adding following output:

~$ qcatool2 plugins --debug
Qt Library Paths:
  /usr/lib/qt4/plugins
  /usr/bin
  /usr/lib/kde4/plugins
plugin: Checking Qt static plugins:

Available Providers:

Btw. I tried the same on Mandriva 2010.0 and I cannot connect either.

I tried again and as far as I can tell this is duplicate of bug 221533, see:
