Can you try to compile the current svn trunk libkexiv? Should probably be fixed there.
recompiled both, still the same. as its poperly aligned in the cam importer i think its a albumview problem?
Is the rotation ok if you open an image in the editor?
To be sure, check if digiKam use last version of libkexiv2 Go to Help/Components Info dialog Gilles Caulier

hi, solved! i had my whole thumbs rebuild like 3 days ago and probably used the buggy version to do so. After the libkexiv2 update the rebuilding thumbs process fixed this as it seems, so i think this can be closed. thanks for your time and perhabs the wish in Bug 237552 makes sense to you :)
