Version: 2.0.90 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.28-11-generic I normally listen to music on random album mode, but if I decide I don't want to listen to a particular album at the moment, I have to either skip through all the songs in the album (and Amarok starts playing on skip, which makes it more awkward) or I have to chose an album manually. I'd really like to have a 'skip to next random album' button, which skips to the start of another album. I've only ever seen this on one media player before, but I thought I'd throw it out there.
i second this idea i am using amarok 2.1.1 and it is still not there
It was possible to emulate this behaviour in 1.4 by skipping backwards and then forwards again, but this doesn't work under 2.x
in rockbox this is done doing a short + a long forward just another idea if a standalone button is not provided

Hi All, I created a dangerous quick and dirty patch to enable this. See comments 1 and 2 here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=233867#c1 Cheers, Rich
This seems to be a duplicate of bug 233867
