Version: (using Devel) OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources I'm a big fan of Translucency (and, to the lesser extent, Dim Inactive) desktop effects for inactive windows, it looks wonderful. Still there are occurences when some inactive window contents are hurt by transparency — most notably using a windowed video player in a background. Currently there is no way to ask system not to apply any darkening/translucency effects to a specific window, except by switching off compositioning or effects altogether. I propose that Translucency:inactive and Dim Inactive effects wouldn't be applied to windows which have "Keep above others" option set: if required, their transparency could be adjusted manually. Other approach could probably be a (new?) option for special window/application settings.
