Description Alex Dănilă 2008-10-03 01:24:50 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

With no space left on the disk KMail 1.10.1 will output an error message and then delete absolutely everything it had in its directories, configuration, everything.

<
Insert here madness messages for loosing hundreds of messages (the ones sent in the last weeks completely unrecoverable as they where not backed up and not registered on the server), the outbox and all settings.

Frankly speaking I think this bug is coded by someone, and not a side effect. I have never seen any program deleting everything like this. And it just happens that you don't notice that you run out of space because of some xsession errors file grows out of control. Just why do I need to be punished like this for being a somewhat early KDE adopter?!

Confirmed, at least loss of settings (I use IMAP). I am running KMail 1.11.1 (KDE 4.2.1)

Also confirmed on KMail 1.11.1 w/ KDE 4.2.1. Lost all configuration. KMail also opened 60 or more dialogues saying no space left which crashed kwin.
