One line for each IPTC keyword and make the tags copyable
Comment 1 caulier.gilles 2007-01-02 23:44:51 UTC
Are you tried the Copy button on the top of IPTC content ?

Comment 2 Wolfgang Hollaus 2007-01-03 09:21:12 UTC
Yes, but these function copied the total IPTC content, and not only ONE keyword separately.
Comment 3 caulier.gilles 2007-01-03 09:38:27 UTC
It easy to implement. Do you want to copy into clipboard the tag name and the tag content or only the tag content ?

Perfectly for me, would be something like this:
http://finrik.at/temp/digikam.png

I need only one keyword at the same time (to copy it into another programm); example: see the keyword 3 on the image; highlight it on click and if the user press Control-C it would be copied

I would like this added as a feature too, except with the following addition:

If we could select multiple tags by holding shift/ctrl while clicking, we could copy and paste multiple tags easily. If we could use the spacebar toggle the tag selection (instead of moving to the next pic (which can be done w/ pagedown anyway)) we could also more easily choose multiple tags at once (see feature request/bug 129693)

I would need a way to be able to import/export tag hierarchies.

For instance I create a tag hierarchy in digikam and I want to send it to a friend to use the same tag hierarchy.

There are available commercial hierarchy http://www.controlledvocabulary.com/, but ther is none available for digikam and even if it was I don't see a way to import it.

Please let me know if there is a way. I think this is important for digikam's acceptance. This is one of the features still holding be glued to Ligthroom and therefore to windows.

Another feature I think that would be useful and is related to this is to be able to highlight individual tag contents as displayed in the "Digikam properties" box on the "properties" tab and the copy it either using a right click copy option or "ctl C" (the ability to copy any of the data here would be good, not just tags but also "created date" for example). I don't think tags should be editable here but the ability to copy individually any of the information in the properties tab would be an advantage.

Just wondering if there has been any progress with this? (I appreciate the time and effort the devs put into Digikam but it doesn't hurt to ask :-))

Hi,
For digikam 7.2.x and after, I would also like to be able to copy from a source image the keywords, notes, geolocation, etc... to another image or group of images.
Indeed, it can happen that at different times we take identical pictures, so it's quite annoying to have to put the tags again one by one.

I remember that Lightroom had this possibility (copy metadata with a choice of metadata to copy).
