Description Verdi March 2006-10-25 12:39:26 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Wouldn't it be nice if we can open a link in a new tab using a
keyboard shortcut? Currently, pressing an access_key will open
a link in a current window.

However, this doesn't seem easy to do, because:
1. Ideally it should be ctrl + access_key. However,
pressing ctrl while access-key-mode is active will
*immediately* deactivate the access-key mode. By
immediately, it means that ctrl is still tapped.

2. shift + access_key does not consistent with
shift + left_click (currently binded to "save as...)".

Perhaps the is to deactive access-key mode only when
ctrl is released. This way, we can still use ctrl + access_key.

The last two sentence should read:

Perhaps the closest solution is to deactive access-key mode only when
ctrl is released. This way, we can still use ctrl + access_key.
