Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0) Installed from: Gentoo Packages I get mail from a yahoogroups.com mailing list. It comes with the "from" address set to whoever sent it, and the "to" address is set to the address of the mailing list. "reply-to" is set to the mailing list as well. Now, when I click "reply to all..." or "reply to author...", the message will either way be addressed to the mailing list. In the case of "reply to all" I would expect the reply to go to the "from" and the "to" address. In the case of "reply to author" I would expect it to be sent to the email address appearing in the "from" field in kmail's mail display. As per Bug 143318 I can confirm this behaviour.
*** Bug 118610 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
The problem is caused by the missing List-Post header. KMail uses the List-Post header to identify the mailing list's address. If the List-Post header is missing then KMail has no way to know that the Reply-to header contains a mailing list address. If this problem does still exist for Yahoo Groups then somebody should ask the administrators to add the List-Post header to their mailing list messages.
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
