That's actually a wish... Reinhold *** Bug 85819 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 92799 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Another wish (107850) wants these to-dos to appear only today (unless it's overdue). Cheers, Reinhold *** Bug 107850 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** If a ToDo is marked with one date it will only show on that date - simply set the Start Date as the same as the Due Date. There is no point in offering a Start Date if it is not to function as a reminder. By the final due date it is already too late if the task is not trivial. To Comment #4: As i'm the reporter of bug #107850, i would agree with the wish from Aleksey. It isn't important, if the todo is shown as a singel day event (shown "today") or as a multi-day timeless event. In my opinion it is only important, that i'm reminded _before_ the definded end date of the todo. I agree that the reminder is the important thing, and I don't much care how it's achieved, as long as it is clearly visible in the diary-type pages for the period from the Start Date until either the Due Date or being marked as Completed. I would consider this to be a *Bug*, not a Wish. It doesn't make sense to get a notification to do something after it is too late. So, if you've indicated a Start Date, that is when you should be notified. If you have a project that is going to take 2 weeks to do (start date = due date - 2 weeks), but you are only notified when the project is due, it is too late! *** This bug has been confirmed by popular vote. *** Reassigning all KOrganizer bug reports and wishes to the newly created korganizer-devel mailing list. I have version 4.4.9-2.3.1, and Start still seems to achieve nothing. My vote definitely goes with those who'd like to be alerted when action is needed rather than too late. |
