Description Michael Binder 2004-11-06 10:53:46 UTC
Version: V3.2 (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
OS: Linux

I wish to be able to add a planned duration to a todo item. Sometimes a todo item is not done in 30 minutes (which is the default duration of a todo in the calendar). If the todo item is droped into the calendar the duration should be visible in the calendar.

This will make a todo feel more like an event and makes it easier to plan the todos in your calendar. New time management tutrials recommend that to a todo list.

Of course the duration should be also visible on the todo overview.

Current behavior:
1. create a todo item
2. add a todo item to the calendar
3. the item is planned with 30 minutes

wish behavior:
1. create a todo item
2. add to the calendar
3. the item is planned with 30 minutes
4. the duration can be readjusted to e.g. 1 hour

I thought a while about my feature request...

Maybe it is easier to simply add a 'done' checkbox to events. So if you want to have a todo with a duration you can use an event.

Disadvantage:
You won't have a overview list about your todos (represented by events).
