STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to shortcuts systemsettings page
2. Set a shortcut to "meta" modifier-only trigger (see attachment)

This is actually a Qt bug which is fixed in a later release of the KDE Qt patch collection, as well as Qt 6.

Arch Linux runs KDE Qt patch collection and this bug is still reproducible on it. Can we reopen this report?

It's working fine for me in both places on both Fedora 42 KDE (Plasma 6.4.4, Wayland) and KDE Linux (git master, Wayland).

Is this a locale or theme-specific thing, maybe? Can you try a new clean user account in English and see if it still happens there?
