Same here :-( I'm using akregator 1.0.2 on KDE 3.3.2, all compiled from sources (gentoo). My gcc version is gcc 3.3.5 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.5-r1, ssp-3.3.2-3, pie-8.7.7.1). The crash happens after a random period of time. I think there is a problem on deleting expired articles. BTs #3-#5 are the same. I've summarized the three cases below. Looks like MyArticle::d is already deleted when slotDeleteExpiredArticles tries to access it. It would be good to know if any SVN 3.5 branch users have seen this crash in SVN builds since 433783 (July 11th). Looks like invalid d pointers. All bt's have in common that the crash happens when Article::d is dereferenced. I wonder how this can happen, Frerich's Shared class should take care of the d pointer and prevent this. So either we doing very stupid things or there or it is a bug in the shared d pointer handling in Article's copy ctor/dtor/assignment operator (which was taken from librss).
After upgrading glibc to 2.3.5 akregator doesn't crash anymore. I'm using Qt: 3.3.4 KDE: 3.4.1 Akregator: 1.1.1 glibc: 2.3.5 with nptl
Can't confirm that upgrading glibc resolves the problem. Running gentoo with glibc-2.3.5 (without ntpl) and akregator crashes every few hours.

I have applied the patch found in comment #15 to akregator 1.1.1 (kde 3.4.1) on 30 September 2005. Up to now 0 crashes but pay attention at comment #13 :-)
Was it stable for you in the last five days? If yes and if it crashed often enough before, I'd consider this fixed.
0 crashes, but before closing this bug I think it's better to wait other confirmations (look at comment 13)

I close this bug as a problem with slotDeleteExpiredArticles was fixed (Bug 118790), and nobody reported crashes since October. Reopen if you experience similar crashes which do not look exactly like 118790.
