That happens if I leave kontact running (Which I've taken to doing as I use akregator and like having it inside kontact) for a while (say 12 hours or so).  I would think kmail and akregator to be the only relevant plugins as they are the only two in the system tray, but jic, I also have Contacts, Calendar, To-do, Journal, News, Notes, and Synchronisation shown.  Please ask if there is any more info that I could give that would help.
