Description Stéphane Gourichon 2004-08-27 19:01:30 UTC
Version: KMail 1.6.1 (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
OS: Linux

The mime tree structure does not allow dragging to other places.

One can select a bunch of them (e.g. with Ctrl key) but cannot drag from it.

Relevant drag-n-drop targets would be :
-for any attachment, the desktop or a konqueror window
-when selected attachments are regular e-mails, a regular e-mail folder (local or IMAP).

Currently, one has to perform one by one : click on an attachment, see it appear as icon and filename, which can be dragged to Konqueror. If the attachment is an e-mail, a draggable link is known above which is nice. If the attachment is text no link shows up.
The problem is that this gives no possibility to select a bunch of attachments in one operation and drag them to some local/IMAP folder or konqueror window.

Real life example :
My wife forwarded a bunch of e-mails to me. She selected them in her folder and forwarded them. So I received one big e-mail with many e-mails attached. I wish I could copy them at once to a regular folder instead of keeping them as attachments.

A problem (should be a different wish) : all operations available on a regular message are not available when viewing a message which is one attachement of another.
E.g. "reply" replies to the top message, not to the attached one.
