Description Justin Sheckler 2004-08-20 17:04:09 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I just upgraded to 3.3, and now when I log in, the taskbar shows only one button (default X icon; no title.) In order to get the taskbar to work properly, I have to remove it from the panel and add it again. (This is with SuSE 9.1)

The systray behaves similarly: only one icon (Gaim) until I remove it and re-add it. Ditto for the pager (no icons.)

I moved my old 3.2 settings out of the way before updating, so I don't think that's an issue.

Otherwise, 3.3 is fantastic, thanks!

It seems to be related to some specific kicker applets that are running.
The suspected applets are kdict and ksysguard.
If you remove them and restart kicker with 'dcop kicker Panel restart'
and add the applet(s) again back to kicker all seems fine.

Indeed, thanks
