Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc 3.2.2 OS: Linux Kmail takes a long time to check mail over IMAP (longer than thunderbird and apple Mail anyway), and part of this problem might be alleviated by making it easy to only check for new mail in the inbox. I know I can select each folder individually and exclude checking that folder, but I have a lot of folders (most of which don't get "new" messages put into them except by me), and it would be nice to be able to disable checking in all of them in one swoop.
I've written a short hacky perl script for doing bulk (recursive) disable-check. Its available from http://www.astro.gla.ac.uk/users/paulm/Scripts/bulkNoCheckMail.pl You'll need to edit it slightly depending on which folders you want to change. HTH Paul.
