Version: 1.6.2 (using KDE 3.2.2-3.0.1.kde, Fedora Core release 1 (Yarrow)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20031022 (Red Hat Linux 3.3.2-1) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.2-1.156 When I use KMail at home, The Tip of the Day is blocked by a message box informing that the POP-mail server at my work cannot be reached. Some times the message box is pops under the TotD, which can be quite confusing. Luckily the TotD can be moved out of the way and the message is now visible and dismissable. I suggest that the notification is changed from application modal to top most on the Z-axis, application wide. The is a similar but not identical bug 81055, where I have added the comment above.

Still present in 3.5.5, and it's in standalone kmail
Marking as a dupe of later bug as that report has more useful info. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 94168 ***
