Version: 1.6.1 (using KDE 3.2.1, (testing/unstable)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.4-1-686 After an uncertain period of time, Kmail ceases checking my pop account for new mail. I have two pop accounts and it has happened with one of them many times in both this and earlier versions of kmail. The other pop account happened recently for the first time. When it happens, clicking the Check Mail In button triggers a check of the account that is contiinuing to work but not the one it has ceased checking. If I go into Settings|Configure Kmail|Network, click on the receiving tab and go into Modify for the setting for the particular account, hit apply and then ok, that fixes it every time without actually changing any of the settings in the account. I see similar bug reports that appear to be resolved or closed but none open for this so I thought I ought to post it here. The only extra bit of info I can think of that might be useful is that I have spamassasin running. Ken
It says Platform unconfirmed . . . I am using kde 3.2.1 and debian unstable with 2.6.4-1-686 kernel.
I have changed to Mandrake 10 and the 2.6.3-4mdk kernel. I am using kmail 1.6.1. The problem described above continues.
I had not previously noticed that when Kmail locks up, the progress bar at the bottom right of the kmail window is stuck. Hitting the red X to the left of it, kills that and then mail can be downloaded again.
seems to happen, after a connection to the email-server failed (my dsl-device is down for a few seconds each day).
same as "Bug 84032: kmail doesn't time out when attempting to receive" ?

Can you guys check with an up-to-date KMail (e.g KDE 3.4 Beta 2)? TIA
