Description Sebastien 2004-03-23 01:12:42 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)

Actually, switch from Edit part to Konsole part is a pain.

I use Kate to program, and love the embedded Konsole.
So I can have all feature in one window : no need to open all sort of apps.

But when I want to compile I must go to Konsole.
And then, after testing/debugging, I must go back to file edit.

Theire is actually no shortcut (and no possibility to assign) to switch those two modes.
Actually, it's faster to start a normal Konsole and browse via Alt+Tab !!
It's why I've said "Uregent" in title : theire is no sense to have embedded Konsole if stand-alone Konsole in anyway needed.

Thanks.

the workaround is to bind a key to show/hide konsole.
