Version: 1.5.94 (using KDE 3.1.94 (CVS >= 20031206), compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 (Debian) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.1dell-optiplex In Mutt emails in a tree don't show the full subject for each email; only when the subject has changed from the previous email. I would really like to see that feature in KMail since changed email subjects are quite hard to spot in a bug tree of emails. Additionally this would save screen real-estate by not making the deep nested emails take tree-indention space as well as subject space.

Hmm, from looking at the screenshot I don't like this at all. But I guess I would have to use it for some time to see whether I like it, or not. What happens if the root of the thread is out of sight? Will the user just see the blank subjects? This would be unacceptable. The subject of a thread must always be visible. So implementing this is harder than it at first seems to be. We can't just replace the subject with an empty string in the child listview items.
Mutt uses pages of subjects; so its not really a detail you can compare.. Anyway; it shows the subject again for all emails that don't have an ancestor with that same subject visible.
Actually I would prefer the way xnews displays threads: My subject bla bla ba myself john frank jack myself You are so stupid (was: ...) jack frank jack The example above was taken from http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114342
Is this a dup of bug 60130?
I second. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 60130 ***
