Description Emmanuel Eckard 2003-12-22 19:39:08 UTC
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

3ddesk is a nifty little application ( http://desk3d.sourceforge.net/ ) that allows taking away the breath of people who don't know about multiple desktops. When using it in KDE, the cursor displays the little jumping / bouncing wheel a few seconds after the change has been completed. Also, there is a launch feedback that stays a little bit after the program has exited. There is obviously a little problem about KDE not knowing "fast enough" that the program has been launched and has completed its loading.

I have seen this happen with some other non-KDE programs as well. (dosbox for example) Launching the non-KDE app triggers the startup-notification to show, but somehow KDE does not notice it when the app has started. I solved it by disabling the notification for these apps.
