Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.4) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux EXIF provides two fields for users to describe images - UserComment and ImageDescription. ImageDescription is meant to contain a 'caption' or 'title' while UserComment is meant to allow a more full description of the image to be recorded. Konqueror appears to allow editing of UserComment, but not ImageDescription in it's EXIF Meta Info panel. A mechanism for editing of the ImageDescription field would be very useful. Thanks, Mathew Johnston
Yes, I would also like this feature.
me 2 ( and some more meta tags... ) and IPTC meta info (please)
Me too :-) There should also be an option to force the ctime back to the original on each file thus edited so that it can continue to reflect the time, the original picture was taken. I have a small Tcl/Tk tool that does with JPEG images -- edit comment and/or rotate losslessly while keeping the filesystem timestamp -- but it would be nice to have this feature in KDE.
I wanted to add a comment here. I'm running 3.5.1 and it has "user comment" and "comment" as fields diaplyed in the infoview list but only has "comment" in the properites dialog. I have used exiftool http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/ and inserted data into various EXIF fields such as "comment", "user commnet", "XPComment", "image description", etc and the only tag that will actually show in konqueror is "comment". The "user comment" column stays blank no matter what I try to add and I don't see any of the other fields like "image description" anywhere.
Wish applies to jpeg plugin

Available as plug-in in KIPI, should be in Konqueror/Dolphin
I dream of a easy and direct way to edit EXIF metadata in images while browsing in KDE. :)
