Version: 1.5.9 (using KDE 3.1.92 (alpha2, CVS >= 20030921), compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.2 OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.19-4GB Related to bug 47820 Summary: A POP Filter does not work until you enable filtering on each POP account. This is a usability issue! I upgraded a Swen mail filter that I have used for a while to a POP filter. It did not work due to this... I understand that it is nice to set the limit per mail box. But would it be possible to get a warning/status in the configure POP filter box? "Note that you need to enable filter messages in each POP account" or Enable it by default (this is a old user and new installations might get this enabled by default - I do not know...)
Retested - no improvement. (Low prio...)

Perhaps this could be marked as duplicate of bug 79694 (even though that one is younger). IMHO, pop filtering should work just like normal filters, that is, no special activation necessary (which is completely counterintuitive). Furthermore I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a "download" option, shouldn't that be the default, _unless_ the user wants to be asked or wants the filtered mails to be deleted ?
any progress on this ? (it's crazy when this usability issue is not fixed yet since it's 3 years old "bug")
