Description Larry Johnson 2003-07-15 20:07:02 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 3.3 20030226 (prerelease) (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-4GB-athlon

Loaded plugins: This is a new SuSE 8.2 installation. I don't what what a plug-in is or could be.

Backtrace: Do not have one.

How to reproduce: Always occurs.

Expected behavior: When NumLock LED is toggled on with NumLock key, that the keys on the numeric keypad would cause numbers to appear.

The bug: Numeric keypad keys not operational in KDE. They are operational at x-login and at console. They are operational in Gnome. NumLock key will toggle NumLock LED. '+' key causes pop-up menu on KDE screen. '.' key, then '0' key causes pop-up menu on KDE screen.

SuSE 8.2 fresh install on Gigabyte GA-7VRXP motherboard, Matrox G450 8mb video adapter running dual-head xinerama on 2 - 1200x1600/24bit Viewsonic P815 monitors. Athlon +2100 with 2.4.20 -86 k_athlon kernel. X_Server: XFree86 40300000 ver11.0 Keyboard is standard windows with Win key and Context Menu key. (A second keyboard was tried and produced the same results.)

Numeric keypad keys not operational in KDE 3.3.2 (CVS update 04/12/21).
'+' key select the current line in konsole.
'0' key unselect the current line in konsole.
'Enter' key behavior is normal.

Does this problem still occur with KDE 3.5?

I have this with raspberry pi 3 case. I install normally krdc on my raspberry,
but my numeric key pad don't work when the numlock led is on. If I turn off the NumLock it's work. Do you know why? My keybord is belgum. This is happen when I make a distant connexion with my server.
