Description Chetan Reddy 2005-09-17 11:53:06 UTC
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

I have 9 workspaces and use the numeric pad with numlock off(KP_End, KP_Down,..., KP_Prior) to switch between them. I set these shortcuts using Control Center-> Regional & Accessibility -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> Shortcut Sequences tab. After switching the numlock on(thus disabling the shortcuts), i want to use the numeric pad for entering numbers in kwrite or kcalc. I'm unable to do so as the applications don't respond to those keys.
Also, xev successfully detects(and prints) all the numeric pad keys when numlock is on.
If i disable KP_End shortcut, then the '1' key works if the numlock is on.
I'm not sure this is a kwin bug, but it seems to be the component that handles the keypresses.
