Description Shay Elkin 2003-05-24 15:52:41 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs

I noticed I usually spend quite some time in one mail folder before I turn my attention to the next, and running on a low resolution laptop, I'd really like to reclaim that screen space. It would be nice if I could just hide the folders pane, replacing it with either a poping sidebar (like in Evolution or Outlook), or a combobox in the toolbar.

You can already hide the folder list by dragging the divider to the left. There is no toolbar button for this though.

Probably a good junior job. May be the folderview can be put in a dock widget? Must be investigated, but should be doable with some basic qt knowledge.

I can not. I can make it smaller, but I can't hide it.

I guess most users are only interested in their inbox. Therefore I think it would be better to hide the folderlist -by default-. It only makes the interface look more complicated then necessary and it takes a lot of screenspace.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
