Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc 3.2.1 OS: Linux I'd like to see two options added to make remote access of the desktop easier. 1. Option to remove the wallpaper whenever a connection is made to share the desktop. 2. Option to use the blank screensaver when a connection is made. Or, it might be easier to simply not show the screen on the VNC connection whenever the screensaver is activated.
1 is already implemented in HEAD.
How about 2? I have to keep my screensaver simple because of this so I can log in to work from home. And I really love Euphoria...
This would be a great feature (to atuomatically switch to screen blanking screensaver while remoted) I hate stepping away from my desk for a minute to come back to a VNC session with this crazy OpenGL screensaver going on knowing it was sucking up a ton of internet bandwidth.
According to bug 334425, 1. is not implemented or not working in a distribution released in 2014.
