I cannot reproduce this. If I press "Clear History" and open Recent Files in Dolphin, my history is gone as expected. If I select "Remember opened documents: Do not remember", open a file and check again, it has not been added to the Recent Files in Dolphin. Am I not attempting to reproduce this correctly, or do you maybe need to refresh the page?
I believe you posted in the wrong but. This isn't about Dolphin.
wrong post.*
wrong bug.**
Ah, I see what you mean. Gwenview and Kate are not using the same infrastructure to store recent content. What we'd need is a system for arbitrary history to be stored (e.g. Files/folders opened in Gwenview, files opened in Kate) by either the Desktop or by the application itself, the former would be managed by Plasma and the latter by the application for when the application isn't run under Plasma. An application should probably only show recents opened with it, though Dolphin would want to show them globally. See also: https://zunzuncito.oriole.systems/25/ This isn't really anything immediately practicable but would want to be considered in a redesign of the systems involved. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 458103 ***
