Description ericswpark 2025-11-26 15:57:53 UTC
SUMMARY
When unlocking my laptop from sleep using the fingerprint scanner, the "Unlock" button shows up. I have to either click the button or press the space key to sign in fully.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Put the laptop to sleep
2. Wake the laptop
3. Place finger on reader

OBSERVED RESULT
The lock screen proceeds to the "Unlock" button screen as if the user account doesn't have a password on it

EXPECTED RESULT
The lock screen is dismissed and sends me to whatever I was doing

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux, kernel 6.17.8-arch1-1
KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.20.0
Qt Version: 6.10.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This behavior was observed on a Framework 13 (AMD edition) with the Goodix fingerprint scanner.

Appears to be a regression of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=454706

Thanks for the bug report. This looks like the same bug as in bug 497904. I'll merge your report in with that one.
